CEO: Adenike Ojo

Adenike Ojo is a British-Nigerian writer, poet and producer, born and raised in the London borough of Hackney, United Kingdom.  

Adenike’s love of literature started at a young age and by the age of seven, she had already started expressing herself through creative writing. At age 13 she used her position as a Sunday School teacher to write scripts for performances at her church. 

In school Adenike was encouraged, by her English teacher, to pursue a path of creative writing, however her parents encouraged a more traditional career path.  She returned to creative writing in 2013 which resulted in the performance of her piece “Baba Dimeji” that same year. 

In 2016 she joined a number of writers groups to develop her skills and knowledge. She has also completed study programmes at National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield, City Academy, the Poetry School and Spread the Word.  

Adenike completed her first full-length script in 2019. In October 2023 she won the ‘Best Playwright’ award at the 2023 Black British Theatre Awards for her debut play ‘In Hiding’, a testament to the potential and impact of her work.

COO: Emma Harry

Emma Harry is a British-Caribbean Arts & Marketing Manager and performer. Emma was born and raised in London, United Kingdom.

Emma’s love of the arts was developed and nurtured in a multiple discipline environment, surrounded by musicians, dancers, actors and painters. 

She started performing at a young age, participating as a backing vocalist in a band, as one of the lead dancers in a traditional African dance group and as a performing artists . She continued her study of the arts through school, college and University, alongside a variety of performance work, including projects with the English National Opera, an international film project and leading classes as part of a Saturday morning Dance School. 

As an adult, whilst carrying on as a professional dancer, performing nationally, Emma has also worked in music and events management, managing a number of independent artists as well as organising corporate and music events.

Emma has been able to draw on the knowledge and experience of the arts and theatre to support the presentation of pieces such as ‘Soupcase’, ‘I just want to get to work’ and more recently ‘In Hiding’ (2023 and 2024). 

As COO of Yinde Entertainment Limited, Emma supports the vision to make YEL a global platform for artists of varying talents - actors, writers, musicians, videographers, dancers, photographers and others through whom creativity abounds.
